Reporting Concerns

If you encounter a situation that requires the County's immediate attention, such as flooded roads, washed out or frozen culverts, or significant road damage that impedes travel or has a significant risk to safety and property, please contact the Public Works 24-hour Emergency Line at 780-532-7393.

Residents with any non-emergency Public Works related questions and concerns are encouraged to contact Public Works at 780-532-7393 during regular business hours. Regular business hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.

Respecting Road Closures

Please respect road closures and barricades, and exercise caution on rural roads. Warm temperatures leading to spring runoff and water flowing over some roadways often causes poor road conditions.

  • Do not bypass or move barricades.
  • Motorists should also use extreme caution, especially during the night, as road conditions can change rapidly.
  • Closed roads may have hidden hazards, including washouts and erosion.

These road closures are in place to protect people and prevent further damage to roads.
