The County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service serves residents from stations located in communities throughout the County.

Beaverlodge Fire Station
The Beaverlodge Fire Department transitioned to a regional model in 2024 and now operates under the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service. While the Town of Beaverlodge still owns the fire hall, the County now manages its operations, ensuring enhanced collaboration and efficiency across the region.
The department consists of 25 dedicated volunteer members and serves both the Town of Beaverlodge and the surrounding County of Grande Prairie. Its fleet includes a town-owned engine and rescue combo, a brush truck, and a County-managed fire engine, along with specialized equipment such as the Jaws of Life for vehicle extrications.
Bezanson - Station 9
The Bezanson Fire Station is located at 9903 100 Ave.
Built in 2004 with 3 bays and offices. An addition was added in 2015 that houses the MSU and Squad, along with a second floor.
Bezanson members practice Mondays at 7:00 p.m. and meet for specialized training on evenings and weekends as required.

Clairmont - Station 14
The Clairmont Fire Station (Station 14), located at 10808-100 Avenue was built in 2009 as a multi-purpose facility housing Fire Services, Enforcement, RCMP, Parks, Agriculture and originally FCSS. Designed to accommodate up to six apparatus in six opposed bays, the station also serves as the headquarters for Fire Service administration and Fire Prevention. It is a fully staffed, full-time station dedicated to serving the community.

Dunes - Station 17
The Dunes Fire Station, located at 60051 Hwy 668, Suite 5, was purchased in 2008.
As Station 17, it provides the same level of service as the Clairmont Fire Station and serves as the second station in the County of Grande Prairie’s full-time regional fire model. It is a fully staffed, full-time station dedicated to serving the community.
The station is also home to a wide range of equipment and apparatus. Along with its primary firefighting vehicles, it regularly houses a trailer containing two snowmobiles, as well as another trailer equipped with two ATVs, two snowmobiles, and one side-by-side—jointly owned by Regional Enforcement Services and Regional Fire Service.
The Dunes Station is also home to the newly built Regional Fire Training Centre, a state-of-the-art facility developed in partnership with the City of Grande Prairie and the MD of Greenview. Officially opened in October 2024, the centre enhances regional emergency preparedness by providing local, hands-on training for firefighters. This collaboration strengthens long-standing mutual aid efforts while reducing costs and minimizing travel time for training. The project was made possible with support from corporate sponsors TC Energy and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.

Hythe - Station 4
The Hythe Fire Station, located at 10004 102 St, was built in 2006 through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and generous donations from local contractors and residents.
Hythe firefighters hold weekly training sessions on Mondays at 7:00 p.m., with additional specialized training scheduled on evenings and weekends as needed.

La Glace - Station 1
The La Glace Fire Station, located at 10109 100 Ave., was built in 2019. The facility features an 8,000 sq. ft. main floor and a 3,200 sq. ft. second floor, with dedicated spaces for meetings, training, and maintenance.
La Glace members practice Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., with additional specialized training scheduled on evenings and weekends as needed.

Casey the Fire Dog
The La Glace Fire Station is also home to Casey, the Fire Dog. A Dalmatian, Casey has served as a therapy dog for the fire service for over a year. He plays a dual role as a mascot for fire prevention education in schools and a comfort companion for firefighters across the County. Casey's first deployment was during the Dunes West Wildfire, where he provided support to firefighters and first responders at the staging area. Casey also visits schools to help teach fire safety lessons, demonstrating Stop, Drop, and Roll and how to crawl under smoke in an emergency.
Sexsmith Fire Station
The Sexsmith Fire Department transitioned to a regional model in 2024 and now operates under the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service. While the Town of Sexsmith still owns the fire hall, the County now manages its operations, ensuring enhanced collaboration and efficiency across the region.
The Sexsmith Fire Department provides Fire, Medical and Rescue services to the Town of Sexsmith, 460 sq miles of the County of Grande Prairie and Mutual Aid response to regional friends and contract partners.
Teepee Creek - Station 2
The Teepee Creek Fire Station, located at 9912 100 Ave, was built in 1995, with an east bay addition completed in 2013, bringing the total space to 957 sq. ft.
Teepee Creek firefighters hold weekly training sessions on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m., with additional specialized training scheduled on evenings and weekends as needed.
In 2025, construction will begin on a new, three-bay fire station in Teepee Creek to enhance emergency response capabilities in the region. The decision to include three bays in the initial design was made to accommodate future growth and operational needs.

Wembley Fire Station
The Wembley Fire Department transitioned to a regional model in 2024 and now operates under the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service, with the County managing operations while the Town retains ownership of the fire hall. That same year, the department adopted a paid-on-call model, ensuring firefighters are compensated for 9-1-1 responses. As a Professional Volunteer Fire Department, it remains the primary emergency response agency for Wembley, providing fire, rescue, and medical first response.
The department consists of 20 volunteer firefighters, two lieutenants, four senior firefighters, a full-time station captain, and a full-time firefighter. During Spring and Summer Fire Season, additional contract firefighters support training, maintenance, and daytime incident response. Under its 2022 service contract renewal, the County provides administrative support, including a Fire Chief, Deputy Chiefs, District Chiefs, and Fire Marshal Services overseeing investigations, inspections, fire prevention, and education.
