Volunteers are the heart of our communities.

The It Takes a Volunteer appreciation program recognizes and highlights the commitment of volunteers throughout the County who have donated their time, skills, and knowledge to benefit our residents and communities.

The outstanding contributions of our many volunteers are an important part of what makes the County of Grande Prairie a great place to work, live, and play!

 Nomination Details

Three or more volunteers from one organization must be nominated as a team.

While we recognize that some nominators would like to surprise a volunteers with the recognition of their service, we highly recommend connecting with the volunteer, the team or group or the organization prior to submitting this form to get a full summary of their volunteer commitments. The Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteers describe many personal benefits beyond giving back to their community, including the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, and share their interests and hobbies with others. Volunteerism can enhance job applications and further careers, as well as positively impact mental health and wellbeing. There are many volunteer opportunities throughout the County to fit any schedule or interest.
