Landfills Hours of Operation
Clairmont Centre for Recycling & Waste Management Open Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open Statutory Holidays except Christmas, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Family Day.
Last loads of the day - All commercial & residential truck and trailer loads tipping at the landfill face must cross the inbound scale by 5:30 p.m. All customers need to be unloaded by 6:00 p.m. and clear of the scale.

West Grande Prairie Regional Landfill Open Tuesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open Statutory Holidays except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
** Please note: West Grande Prairie Regional Landfill is currently operating as a Transfer Station until further notice. All loads must be unloaded by hand into bins. Large loads may not be accepted and / or redirected to Clairmont Landfill. Fees may apply at the Clairmont Landfill. Please call 780-567-4194 for any questions
Accessing Landfills & Transfer Stations
County residents can dispose of solid waste and recycling at the Clairmont Centre for Recycling & Waste Management, West Grande Prairie Regional Landfill, and area transfer stations.
Residents can access the Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management through the Clairmont Centre Access Program, using their Waste Card. Households can dispose of up to 1,000 kg of waste at the facility each year for free. There is no cap on recycling. Waste above the annual amount is subject to standard tipping fees. Demmitt Open Tuesday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Elmworth Open Wednesday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Teepee Creek Open Tuesday and Thursday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Open Statutory Holidays except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
