
Kleskun Hill Campground
Campground opens for the season May 12, 2023 – Fire restriction in effect. Small campfires now permitted.
Located 20 Km east of Grande Prairie. Overnight camping and day use are both available. 9 sites, no hook ups.
Kleskun Hill offers a fascinating glimpse at Canada's northernmost badlands ecosystem. The area is comprised of a Natural Area, historic village with rentable hall and church, day use area and campground. Kleskun Hill has a rich history and deep sacred value to local Indigenous communities.
Amenities include an indoor shower/washroom, non-potable water tap, outdoor restrooms, large playground, hiking trails in the natural area. Fire pits and picnic tables in the day-use area.
A $5 nightly fire permit fee will be in place at all County campgrounds to supplement the costs of firewood handling and firepit safety maintenance.
Rates
$28 / night individual campsite includes one hard-sided camping unit, one tent and one vehicle. $5 fire permit fee.
$30 / half-day for private function in the day-use area
Debit, MC, and Visa accepted. No American Express or cheques.
Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 2:00 PM.

The Historic Village
To book the hall or church in the historic village, call Marlaine with the Kleskun Hills Historical Society at 780 831 4130. This facility is managed separately from the Park and Campground.

The Natural Area
The Kleskun Hills Natural Area surrounds the campground and historic village and is operated by Alberta Parks.
